New Advances in Forensic Science Research & Investigation
On October 21, 2009, Dr. Michael Coble, then Director of Research Section, Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory presented a lecture sponsored by the Washington Academy of Sciences at the National Science Foundation. In his presentation, Dr. Coble provided an overview of how new improvements in forensic technology and protocols have vastly improved modern forensic science and how these improvements have enhanced our ability to identify human remains, especially in the case of highly compromised samples. Dr. Coble also revealed how these new processes played an important role in solving the historical mystery of the last Romanov children.
